How to Access Qualtrics
How do I request an account?
All UNM Fauclty, staff, and students with a valid UNM NetID are automatically granted access to Qualtrics at qualtrics.unm.edu.
When can I start using the new system?
Access to Qualtrics is available immediately upon successful login. Users may begin creating and distributing surveys without any additional setup.
Can HSC users log into Qualtrics?
Yes, HSC users will be able to log into Qualtrics with their UNM NetID and password. For more details on step by step process, please visit the support page.
Migration
Does this replace Survey Monkey or Google forms? We use these tools in various projects that require a survey tool?
Qualtrics is available for UNM Faculty, Staff and Students and can be accessed using a UNM NetID, but it does not automatically replace other tools. If you currently use different platforms, please evaluate the platform or contact us to trasnfer those projects into Qualtrics.
Is Qualtrics replacing Opinio?
Determining whether Qualtrics can replace Opinio/Esurvey will be evaluated at a later date.
Migrating Department Qualtrics Brands
My Department has a Qualtrics Instance. Can it be merged into the Enterprise Instance?
Short answer is yes. However, because there are variation in features between department qualtric instances and the enterprise instance, the implementation team is still evaluating the impact to those instances. Communication to the brand administrators of each instance will be sent out with details.
Migrating Survey Data
Can I migrate my existing surveys and data into UNM's Enterprise Solution?
Yes, if you have Qualtrics survey from free Qualtrics account or at another institution's Qualtrics account. You can trasnfer those to UNM's Enterprise Solution.
Migrating Account
I have my own qualtrics instance, can I move it to UNM's Enterprise Solution?
Yes, you can transfer those survey projects in to UNM's Enterprise Solution.
I have an account in my departments qualtrics instance, can I move it to UNM's Enterprise Solution?
Yes, you can move account from departmental qualtrics instance to UNM's Enterprise Solution.
I had an account at a different institution, can I move it to UNM's Enterprise Solution?

Survey Development
I am new to qualtrics, can I get help with developing surveys?
Yes. For survey help, contact Qualtrics Support or find a short Qualtrics course. More information of Qualtrics XM Basecamp course can be find at support page. Additionally, checkout the learning resource page here.
Is there a limit to how many questions I can add to a survey?
No, all users have unlimited survey and question creation ability. Please visit the Qualtrics support for survey design help.
Creating Group Libraries
Can I create Group Libraries?
Yes. Please contact the UNM Brand Administrator by submtting a ticket to qualtrics@unm.edu.
Accessing Qualtric's Training Materials
Why can't I access the Qualtric's Training Materials or XM Basecamp?
Users may experience trouble accessing XM Basecamp to view training materials for two reasons:
- If you are an HSC user, you will need to use your UNM NetID and Password, the same credentials used for my.unm.edu, to log-in. The Qualtrics Vendor users NetID's to create accounts.
- If you have a new account, it can sometimes take several days for the vendor to open up XM Basecamp for your use. If after several days the issue persists please contact the vendor's support team.
